Can sex cause a heart attack?

Share/Save/Bookmark
clipped from www.cnn.com

Although heart attacks during sex are rare, no one wants to be among the unlucky few who die while getting lucky. So if you have cardiovascular disease (CVD), or even if it runs in your family, it's important to ask your doctor what type of sexual activity is safe. If you've just had a heart attack, for instance, you should wait three to four weeks before having intercourse, according to current guidelines.

Plan your New York City trip and get all the maps from Google.

Great link to the Official NYC Information center.
On the Official Google Blog you can read New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's words about an exciting partnership between NYC and Google.  The partnership is one of the most ambitious projects to leverage our APIs for Google Maps and Google Earth, and it delights us that we've helped New York City develop such a useful and compelling way to explore the city.

Obama Inaugural Preparations Giving a Boost to Green Businesses

A million invitations for the presidential inauguration next week have already been sent out. Printed on a Classic Crest Recycled 100 Natural White grade paper, the invitations are made of recycled fiber, with Alpharetta, Ga.-based maker Neenah Paper declaring it as the “greenest premium paper in the world.”
“It reaffirms President-elect Obama’s position on the environment,” says Jim Donnelly, of Precise Continental, a Brooklyn, N.Y.-based printer, which did the engraving and the press run for the invitations. “He said he’s environmentally friendly and he’s putting his dollars where he said he would. He’s specifying a paper that meets his own criteria.”

At the Green Inaugural Ball, the ‘trashion’ trend is on the upswing, which my colleague Stephanie Simon also reported yesterday.

Many attendees are being encouraged to car-pool and use public transit. Some are using Segways. Segs in the City, which rents out Segways, says one-third of its fleet has been booked already.

‘Generation E’ — Innovating, Motivating

This article contains lots of interesting information.

Read and let us know your reaction.

I’ve gotten to know a heap of young people of late — people I call “Generation E” — who are working on every facet of the climate-energy challenge. Some are trying to spread awareness of climate science and its implications. Others are working on ways to cut the human impact on the environment as inventors or entrepreneurs.

Fed Officials Worry Inflation Rates Could Ease Too Much

Key words: Fed’s efforts to purchase debt--Fed’s efforts to purchase debt.
clipped from blogs.wsj.com

Federal Reserve officials at the annual meeting of the American Economic Association indicated they are growing more worried that inflation rates could get too low.

With gasoline prices tumbling, the year-to-year change in the consumer price index is likely to tip into negative territory in the months ahead. Meantime, increases in core consumer prices, which exclude food and energy, have slowed sharply in recent months.

Fed officials don’t foresee deflation happening, but they’d like to avoid even getting close to it.

“It is especially important in such circumstances for the Fed to emphasize its commitment to returning inflation over time to the higher levels that are most appropriate to the attainment of its longer-term objectives,” Ms. Yellen said.
